A backrest is one of the highest-value comfort upgrades for a Royal Enfield, whether it’s fitted for the rider’s lower back support or for a pillion’s comfort and confidence on longer rides. This is one of our best-selling categories, with backrests across nearly every Royal Enfield model.

We stock both rider backrests (mounted behind the seat) and pillion backrests (mounted at the rear of the bike, sometimes doubling as a light luggage rack mount), in factory-style and padded aftermarket designs. Coverage spans Classic 350, Standard 350, Meteor 350, Hunter 350, Bullet and older UCE-generation bikes.

Buying guide: decide first whether you need a rider or pillion backrest, since they mount in different locations and serve different purposes — many touring riders eventually add both. Check your bike’s seat type and existing luggage rack (if any), since backrest mounting sometimes shares hardware with rack systems and needs to be ordered together for a clean fit. Padding thickness and shape vary between products; if you’re touring long distances, extra padding is worth the marginal cost.

Installation is a bolt-on job using frame or rack mounting points, typically 20–30 minutes with basic tools, though we recommend checking bolt torque again after the first few rides since backrests carry ongoing vibration load.

Quality checks include mounting bracket strength and padding durability, since a backrest that flexes or wears out quickly undermines the comfort it’s meant to provide.
